Technical Support

This a re-print of a rather amusing rant what I believe to be written by one of Jessica’s old co-workers at SuddenLink. While it relates mostly to cable operator support, I think all support personnel will get a laugh. To end-users, perhaps you can learn something from this. Beware, however; t contains a decent level [...]

Fish!

We started an aquarium! I intended to tell all about it, but it’s getting too close to bedtime where Jessica and I watch TV together before we turn the lights out. I’ll edit this soon… Well, the story I would have told, and the one that represents what we have now are two separate things. [...]

Damn sneezing

So I have an appointment with an immunologist to see if I can get relief from my perennial allergic rhinitis. House-warming gift

What’s better than successfully buying your first house? Getting a “Congratulations!” card in the mail from your parents with a $50 gift card to Lowe’s inside! Jessica and I have been to that store a dozen times since we moved in, and it’s guaranteed that we’ll be back very soon, so the gift card was [...]

All moved in, sort of

I received the keys to my new house at the title company last Thursday. What an exciting feeling! Gary, a co-worker and true friend, helped haul the large items with his 16-foot trailer. It only took a few hours to move those items, but my puny muscles were aching long before that.

Happy birthday, Jessica!

Today was Jessica’s birthday! Yesterday, her birthday flowers arrived at her office, and this morning I surprised her with her new jewelry box. I’m so happy to have her, and I sure enjoyed celebrating this special day with her.
